German Faculty heavily represented at ACTFL/AATG conference

Georgetown University’s German department  faculty were again heavily represented at the annual ACTFL/AATG conference  in Boston,  November 18-20, 2016.

Our faculty continued its tradition of active participation in the annual ACTFL/AATG conference. Faculty members presented on a wide range of topics.

Joe Cunningham contributed presentations to two panels, one on ”Engaged Learning in German for Professional Purposes Courses” and another one on “German Studies and Curriculum in the New Millennium.”

Marianna Ryshina-Pankova co-presented with Cori Crane, University of Texas at Austin  (and GU alumna) on ”An Introduction to Systemic Functional Linguistics for Language Instruction.”

Anja Banchoff and Astrid Weigert spoke on a panel on “Project-Based Learning in German for Business and Engineering.”
