Emilia Endler received a BA in German studies with a minor in French philology from the University of Trier, Germany, in 2021. As an undergraduate student, she worked as a research assistant in the field of French and Italian literature. During the year following her MA program, she spent two semesters as an exchange student at Georgetown University. Emilia also worked as an intern for the editorial office of two German publishing companies.
Her research focuses on German literature of the 19th century, especially realist narrative fiction. In the past, Emilia has written about topics like the development of female characters, alterity, and literary portraits, especially in novellas by Theodor Storm, Gottfried Keller, and Adalbert Stifter.
