Directions and Accommodations
The What’s Work? Humanistic Approaches to Understanding Work symposium will be held October 30-31, 2025, on the campus of Georgetown University.
Directions
Symposium events will take place in room 205, the Humanities Initiative conference room on the second floor of the Old North building, #15 on the map below. (Elevator access to Old North can be found inside the New North building, #14 on the map below. Take the elevator to the second floor and follow the signs to Old North.)
The University’s address is 3700 O St NW. This is the best address for taxi drop-offs and you would enter campus through the main gates at 37th and O St NW.
There are numerous free shuttle buses (GUTS) that connect campus to other locations in the area, including Dupont Circle, Rosslyn, and Glover Park. More information about the GUTS schedule can be found here. The map below indicates where the various shuttles drop off and pick up on campus.
Parking on campus is extremely limited, and street parking in the Georgetown neighborhood is for 2 hours at a time. There is one parking garage for visitors, the Southwest Garage. Information and rates can be found here, and you would enter the garage and campus using the 3611 Canal Road NW address.

A downloadable campus map is available.
