Commencement 2015: German Major and Valedictorian Aletha Smith

Professor Heidi Byrnes, recipient of the 2015 FLL service award, with German major Aletha Smith (COL 15), recipient of multiple academic awards and valedictorian speaker at both the College Tropaia and the FLL awards ceremony. Prof. Byrnes served as advisor for Aletha’s Senior Honors thesis on “Sprachpurismus im 21. Jahrhundert: Eine Untersuchung der Anglizismendebatte als soziopolitisches Phänomen,” which she completed with distinction. Herzliche Glückwünsche!!!
