Emily received her Bachelor of Arts in International Literature and Korean Studies from Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. While pursuing her Master of Arts in Tübingen, she was a TA at UNC Chapel Hill. Her research interests include German and Korean national division, especially the development of identities and cultures in divided nations, as well as contemporary film and screenplays.
