Prof. Joe Cunningham has been elected to a two-year term as Vice President of the Computer Assisted Language Instruction Consortium (CALICO). His term will begin at the conclusion of the 2025 CALICO Conference in San Diego. In 2027, he will become president of the organization for a two-year term, followed by an additional two years as past president.

A member of CALICO since 2009 and recipient of its Outstanding Graduate Student Award in 2013, Dr. Cunningham brings a long-standing commitment to the organization. He previously served on CALICO’s Executive Board (2018–2021). In his new role, Dr. Cunningham aims to highlight innovative scholarship through initiatives such as a special CALICO Journal issue featuring conference presentations, support equitable access to CALL resources through an open educational repository, and advance environmental sustainability within the organization.

Prof. Mary Helen Dupree has taken over as the president of the Lessing Society, beginning in spring 2025.
